"See... Ummm... That's the thing..." Mori begins to look a little apprehensive as she continues. "I... Don't really have a element. Where is Jasper. She can explain this better."

"What you forgot to mention," Jasper says, suddenly sitting in the empty seat. Everyone jumped a little at the sudden appearance. Except Mori and Luc perhaps. "is the fact that you got the powers from that stick. She has a combination of force magic and mental magic mainly, but some versatile abilities with no holy oaths, no arcane sigils, no spirits, no sincasting." She looks around at the confused people at the table. "Hi, I'm the talking cat, don't blame her for not understanding her powers, nobody understands them."
"So she just... Has a very powerful magic item?"
"Not just, she isn't simply activating the staff's power, it's given her some. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen a lot."
"And... What exactly are you?"
"A talking cat!"
Kai and Jasper stare at each other a moment.

"Her favorite hobby is not telling people things." Mori says with a smile, leaning over to scratch Jasper behind her ears. "I was starting to wonder what trouble you ran off to."

"Second favorite. Discovering things to not talk about is admittedly more fun. Awwww thanks," she says, accepting the scratches.
Much of the bar has gone silent, staring at the talking cat. She looks around at the onlookers, then lets out an innocent 'meow.' After a moment, everyone returns to their business.
"Sorry I shouldn't draw attention to myself."
"Did you just-"
"Shhh."
"...You're certainly a group of anomalies aren't you?" Troy asks.
"Mysteries of the universe can wait guys," Lynn breaks in, "We're organizing. Sounds like we have a looooot of support magic, but I've got swordsmen to work off of and we've got back-line fire too, if not with arrows."

Sure enough, Luc isn't particularly surprised by the abrupt appearance of Jasper. He gives a small sigh at the collective confusion, partially out of amusement, partially for having to sit through the motions of others' surprise again.

Luc starts counting off the collective number of members under his breath, then frowns before giving a quick glance at Troy. "But yeah, we've got a... cripes. I'm glad I'm not the only one here who knows how to heal people, that'd be a nightmare to keep track of alone. With our numbers, it'd be nice if we could just steamroll things and avoid taking too much damage in the first place. And, y'know, avoid unnecessary fights. I uh, I'm a big fan of that option."

"And you thought we wouldn't get along," Marilynn says, giving Tracy a sly look.
"I have to agree with Luc on this one," Troy says.
"Healers want us to fight less, shocker."

"And the fighters want to fight more, shocker." He shrugs. "Only so many times I can patch you up a day. I mean- if you like being stabbed, I guess I can't stop you, but I'm just saying."

"I can heal good too," Tracy retorts. "I got the magic healy hands and all that jazz. Stab, burn, heal, rinse and repeat. It's all part of the job."

"Yeesh we could really stand to ditch one of you medics," Lynn says.
"Well you're the only one not part of a package deal."
"Yeah but you need the Bulwark. Nothing personal guys just saying it's unorthodox."
"We are a rather large party by cave-raiding standards, I don't even think it's that big a place."
"Hey so maybe it'll be a bust, it's rumored to have ghosts and monsters not treasure hoards. But you know, profit or no I think this might be the beginning of a beautiful friendship," Kai says with a twinge of sarcasm, just enough to make fun of the cheesiness of his statement without sounding insincere.
Marilynn chuckles to herself again. "Who the hell have I signed up with?"
"If you don't like us," Troy begins, "You don't have to come."
"Are you kidding?" Marilynn says, raising an eyebrow. "You guys are great!... I'm sorry, we're getting off on the wrong foot here. Look if I make fun of you I'm just having fun, don't take it personally. If I hated you guys..." she pauses, then looks over at the man still on the floor. "Anyway if the friendly mocking gets to be too much, let me know." She takes another drink. "I'll make fun of you for being sensitive."

"Um... Huh. Jasper, what did I just get us into." Mori says, turning her attention to the mystery cat while the rest of the group bickers.

Tracy laughs. "Easy there, we might just end up winning on the power of friendship. How silly would that be?"

"As long as we don't all get drunk and get matching ass tattoos I think we will be okay." Mori adds in, giving Tracy a look. "That was by far one of your worst ideas ever."

"Yes, three matching ass tatoos and only one of you with visible skin, brilliant."

"And she'd get to see us naked. Or, at least exposed." Mori says, rolling her eyes. "You'll find a good 69% of her drunk plans involve nudity or sex."

"Heh, no."
"So when should we leave tomorrow? I ask in case we need to wait on your hangover," Troy says, looking at Tracy. Lynn holds up her hand to him for a high five. He gives it,with a small smile. "I am serious though, and at this point I assume you're familiar with your own tolerance level."

"I'll be fine as long as get at least, uhm," Tracy begins counting on her fingers. "Oh, ten. Yeah. That's abut right. Ten. So let me sleep. Then I'll be all good and not drunk and stuff. I should write myself a note in case I forget what happened tonight."

Tracy pulls out a book from her bag and rips out a page, proceeding to scrawl something on it with a piece of charcoal. She then puts the note and her implements back into her bag without showing anyone what it says. The note reads:

Dear Me,
Last night I got drunk and agreed to go an adventure to Leomun's cove with a bunch people I just met and have little reason to trust. I proceeded to make a fool of myself in front of them because I'm drunk. Enjoy overcoming those first impressions!

PS: One of them is a Wolven but she's different and weird and stuff. I don't know what to do about her. Maybe you will.
